In the US, those responsible for the crime of torture are free. But John Kiriakou, who blew the whistle on CIA torture, is in prison for 30 months, away from his wife and 5 children. We have received the heartbreaking news that the Kiriakou family is in danger of losing their home because mortgage payments are difficult to keep up with- they need $1,500 a month to keep up, and are $30,000 behind. His family needs our help to take care of their kids and keep a roof over their head. Please join CODEPINK for a Father’s Day fundraiser for John at the new Pink house in Washington, DC on June 13 from 7-9pm. Our goal is to raise $30,000 for the family. We will hear from his sister Tina Moulis, Jane Hampshire of FireDogLake, Medea Benjamin of CODEPINK, and more. The minimum requested donation is $50. On May 4, 2014 at the White House, CODEPINK DC and friends simulated the drone strike that hit a wedding party in Yemen in December 2013. This powerful action drew in hundreds of tourists and even made some people weep. Just because it’s not happening here, doesn’t mean it’s not happening there. Ground the killer drones NOW!
